HMS_0300_0200 on a Bambu Lab printer means the filament has run out mid-print. The printer pauses automatically. Load a fresh spool of the same filament colour and material, then press Resume to continue from where it stopped.

How to Fix It

  1. Confirm the print is paused, not failed.

    When HMS_0300_0200 triggers, the print pauses and the toolhead lifts. The printer waits for filament to be reloaded — it has not failed the job.

  2. Identify which slot ran out.

    On the Bambu Lab display or in Bambu Studio, the AMS slot showing the runout is highlighted. If using a single external spool (P1P style), the runout is on the external feed.

  3. Load a fresh spool of matching filament.

    Use the same brand, material, and colour. Mismatched filament will visibly show a join in the print. Pre-heat the nozzle if the printer has cooled during the pause.

  4. Run the AMS load procedure.

    On the touchscreen, select the empty slot and press Load. The AMS feeds filament until the buffer detects it. Wait for the printer to confirm 'Loaded'.

  5. Press Resume.

    The printer purges a small amount of filament to clear any partial flow, then continues from the last layer. Inspect the join layer when the print finishes.
