What Does This Error Mean?

Cosori touch panel not responding is most often caused by the child lock being active — the lock icon will be lit on the display. Hold the lock button for 3 seconds to disable child lock and restore touch panel operation.

Common Causes

Child lock activated — locks all touch buttons except the power button
Moisture or condensation on the touch panel surface
Panel in standby — screen may dim and appear unresponsive after inactivity
Firmware crash causing touch controller to stop responding
Touch panel contaminated with grease or cooking residue

How to Fix It

Check for child lock.

Look at the display — a padlock icon indicates child lock is active. Hold the lock button (or the temperature and time buttons simultaneously, depending on model) for 3 seconds. The lock icon should disappear and all buttons should become responsive.
Dry the touch panel.

Wipe the entire touch panel surface with a dry cloth. Moisture or steam from cooking can accumulate on the panel and desensitize the touch layer. Wait 2 minutes after drying before testing buttons.
Unplug and reset.

Unplug the Cosori from the wall outlet. Wait 60 seconds for the capacitors to fully discharge. Plug back in and test the touch panel. This clears any firmware crash state.
Clean the panel surface.

Grease film on a touch panel significantly reduces sensitivity. Wipe the touch panel with a slightly damp cloth (water only — no cleaning sprays on the panel). Dry completely before powering on.
Test individual buttons.

Press each button firmly in the center of the button area — touch panels require deliberate contact. If specific buttons are unresponsive while others work, those zones may have localized damage from heat or moisture. Contact Cosori support if multiple buttons fail after cleaning and reset.

When to Call a Professional

If the touch panel is completely unresponsive after a reset with no moisture and no child lock active, the touch controller board may have failed. Contact Cosori support.
