Not Turning On
IQAir Air Purifier
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
An IQAir HealthPro that will not turn on is most often caused by the bottom access panel not being re-secured after a filter change, or by a power supply issue. Check that all four thumbscrews on the bottom panel are tightened, confirm the outlet has power, and try pressing the power button on the top.
Affected Models
- IQAir HealthPro Plus
- IQAir HealthPro Compact
- IQAir HealthPro 250
Common Causes
- Bottom filter access panel is not fully secured after a filter change
- No power at the wall outlet
- Power cord is not firmly connected to the unit
- Internal fault requiring service
How to Fix It
-
Lay the unit on its back and check the four thumbscrews on the bottom access panel. All four must be tightened fully. A loose panel activates the safety interlock.
Even one loose thumbscrew can trigger the safety switch. Tighten all four by hand until snug — do not over-tighten.
-
Test the wall outlet with another device. The IQAir HealthPro draws significant power — use a wall outlet directly, not a power strip or extension cord.
Undersized extension cords can cause voltage drops that prevent the unit from starting.
-
Check the power cord connection at the back of the unit. The IEC power connector should be firmly seated.
-
Unplug the unit for 60 seconds, plug it back in, and press the power button on the top panel once firmly.
If the unit still does not start, contact IQAir support — the HealthPro Plus has a 10-year warranty on the unit and 2 years on filters.
