Store Not Loading

Meta VR Headset

Severity: Minor

What Does This Error Mean?

The Meta Quest Store not loading is almost always a Wi-Fi or server issue. Check your Wi-Fi connection and try restarting the headset. Meta's servers occasionally have outages.

Affected Models

  • Meta Quest 2
  • Meta Quest 3
  • Meta Quest 3S
  • Meta Quest Pro

Common Causes

  • No Wi-Fi connection or weak signal
  • Meta servers down (check downdetector.com)
  • Corrupted store cache on the headset
  • Account issue — logged out or payment method problem
  • Outdated headset firmware

How to Fix It

  1. Check Wi-Fi is connected.

The store requires an active internet connection. Go to Settings → Wi-Fi and confirm the headset is connected.

  2. Check if Meta services are down.

Visit downdetector.com/status/meta from your phone. If Meta's servers are having issues, there is nothing to do but wait.

  3. Restart the headset.

Hold the power button → Restart. This clears the store app cache and reloads the session.

  4. Clear the store app cache.

Settings → Apps → Meta Quest Store → Clear Cache. This forces the store to reload all content fresh.

  5. Log out and back into your Meta account.

Settings → Accounts → Log Out. Log back in with your Meta credentials. A session token issue can prevent the store from loading.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Meta Quest without a Meta account?
