Connection Timeout

Pocketpair Palworld

Severity: Moderate

What Does This Error Mean?

Connection Timeout means your game client could not connect to the Palworld server within the time limit. The server may be full, offline, or your connection may be too slow. Check the server status and try a different server.

Affected Models

  • PC (Steam)
  • Xbox Series X/S
  • Xbox One

Common Causes

  • Server is full and not accepting connections
  • Server has crashed or is restarting
  • Your internet connection is too slow or unstable
  • Server is in a different region (high latency)
  • Port forwarding not configured for dedicated servers

How to Fix It

  1. Try a different server.

The server you are trying may be full or offline. Browse the server list and choose one with lower player count and good ping.

  2. Check your internet connection.

Run a speed test. Palworld needs a stable connection, especially for multiplayer.

  3. Restart the game.

Close and reopen Palworld to refresh the server list and connection.

  4. For dedicated servers: check port forwarding.

Palworld dedicated servers use port 8211 (UDP) by default. Make sure this port is forwarded on your router.
