Low Battery
Parrot Drone
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
The Low Battery warning means the drone battery is running out. Land immediately — the drone will initiate an auto-landing if the battery drops to a critical level.
Affected Models
- Parrot Bebop 2
- Parrot Bebop 2 Power
- Parrot Anafi
- Parrot Anafi USA
Common Causes
- Flight time approaching the battery limit (25 min for Anafi, 30 min for Bebop 2 Power)
- Cold weather reducing battery capacity
- Aggressive flying or headwind consuming extra power
- Older battery with reduced capacity
How to Fix It
-
Return to your landing spot and land now.
Do not delay to get one more shot. At the critical battery level, the drone begins auto-descending regardless of your input.
-
Watch for the two-stage warning in FreeFlight 6.
First warning: low battery — return to home soon. Second warning: critical battery — auto-landing in progress. Always act on the first warning.
-
Fly with Return to Home configured.
Set a Return to Home battery level threshold in FreeFlight 6 → Settings → Return to Home. The drone will automatically fly back before it can't make the trip.
-
After landing, let the battery cool before recharging.
A warm battery from flight should rest 10–15 minutes before charging. Charging a hot LiPo degrades it faster.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the Parrot Anafi battery last?
Parrot rates the Anafi at 25 minutes in ideal conditions. In practice expect 18–22 minutes with active flying. Wind and cold both reduce this significantly. The Bebop 2 Power ships with two batteries (2700mAh each) for longer sessions.
