Frequently Asked Questions
Napoleon remote flashes when I press buttons but fireplace does not respond — cause?
A flashing LED on the remote means the remote is transmitting. If the fireplace does not respond, the IR receiver on the fireplace is blocked, the fireplace power is off, or the receiver has failed.
Napoleon remote controls some functions but not others — partial failure?
Partial button failure (some buttons work, others do not) indicates a failing remote circuit board rather than a battery issue. Replace the remote.
Napoleon fireplace remote stopped working after I changed the batteries — cause?
If the remote does not work after a battery change, check the battery polarity is correct and that the batteries are seated fully. Remove and reinsert the batteries firmly and test again.
