Error 10 on a Xiaomi scooter means the BMS (Battery Management System) has lost communication with the controller. The scooter will not move. This is usually caused by a loose battery connector or a BMS fault.

Power off completely and power back on.
Hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn off fully. Wait 30 seconds and power on again. A firmware glitch can cause Error 10 and a full restart often clears it.

Check for recent water exposure.
Xiaomi scooters have limited water resistance. If ridden in heavy rain or through deep puddles, water may have reached the battery connector. Allow the scooter to dry fully in a warm room for 24–48 hours before retrying.

Check the battery connector (advanced users only).
The main battery connector is inside the deck, accessible by removing the footboard screws. Check for loose, corroded, or burnt connector pins. Re-seat the connector firmly.

Update firmware via the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home app.
Connect via Bluetooth in the app and check for a firmware update. Some Error 10 cases were caused by known firmware bugs fixed in later releases.
