JRNY Subscription Not Working / Content Locked

Bowflex Fitness Equipment

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

JRNY subscription not working is usually caused by being signed in to the wrong account on the machine or app, or the subscription not being linked to the account used on the Bowflex equipment. Sign out of the JRNY app and sign back in with the account that holds the subscription.

Affected Models

  • Bowflex Velocore Bike
  • Bowflex T22 Treadmill
  • Bowflex Max Trainer M9
  • Bowflex BXT216
  • All Bowflex equipment with JRNY integration

Common Causes

  • Signed in to JRNY with a different account than where the subscription was purchased
  • Subscription purchased through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play — must be managed through the same platform
  • Free trial expired and subscription not renewed — content reverts to free tier
  • JRNY app cache showing old subscription status — needs a refresh
  • Machine and app signed in to different accounts — machine sees free tier while app shows premium

How to Fix It

  1. Verify the subscription is on the correct account.

Open the JRNY app on your phone → tap your profile icon → Account. Confirm the email address shown matches the account where you purchased the JRNY subscription. If you purchased JRNY through nautilus.com, your subscription is tied to that account — ensure you are logged in with the same email.

  2. Check the subscription status in the app store.

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store: open Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions and look for JRNY. If you subscribed through Google Play: open Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Confirm the subscription is Active and not expired or paused.

  3. Sign out and back in to the JRNY app.

In the JRNY app, go to Profile → Settings → Sign Out. Close the app completely, reopen it, and sign in with the account that holds the subscription. After signing in, wait 30 seconds for the app to verify subscription status with Nautilus servers.

  4. Sign in to the same account on the Bowflex machine.

On the Bowflex machine console, navigate to Account or Login settings. Confirm the account signed in on the machine matches the JRNY app account on your phone. If they are different, sign out of the machine account and sign in with the subscription account.

  5. Restore purchases in the app.

In the JRNY app → Profile → Settings → look for Restore Purchases. Tapping this button re-verifies your in-app subscription with Apple or Google and refreshes the subscription status. This is especially useful after reinstalling the app or switching to a new phone where the previous purchase history needs to be re-validated.
