Bluetooth Not Connecting
NordicTrack Treadmill
Severity: MinorWhat Does This Error Mean?
NordicTrack Bluetooth not connecting to headphones or a phone is usually caused by the console already being paired to a different device, the headphones not being in pairing mode, or a stale pairing that needs to be cleared. Delete the NordicTrack from your device's Bluetooth list and pair fresh to fix most connection issues.
Affected Models
- NordicTrack Commercial 1750
- NordicTrack Commercial 2450
- NordicTrack S22i Studio Cycle
- NordicTrack FS10i
- Most NordicTrack models with built-in Bluetooth
Common Causes
- Console already connected to a different device — Bluetooth speakers and headphones pair to one device at a time
- Headphones not in pairing mode — need to hold the pairing button to be discoverable
- Stale pairing stored in the console — old device entry blocking new connections
- Bluetooth interference from other devices in the room
- Console Bluetooth disabled in the settings menu
How to Fix It
-
Put the headphones or speaker in pairing mode.
Most Bluetooth headphones need to be put in pairing mode — usually by holding the power or Bluetooth button for 3–5 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly. Simply being powered on is not enough if they are already paired to another device.
-
Forget the NordicTrack on your phone or headphone device.
On your phone: Settings → Bluetooth → find the NordicTrack console in the list → tap the (i) or gear icon → Forget This Device. On headphones: hold the power button for 10+ seconds to clear the pairing list. Then attempt a fresh pairing.
-
Clear the paired device list on the console.
On the NordicTrack touchscreen console, go to Settings → Bluetooth and look for a 'Remove All' or 'Unpair' option. Clearing the console's saved devices ensures it is not trying to reconnect to a previously paired device.
-
Check that Bluetooth is enabled on the console.
On the NordicTrack console home screen, swipe down from the top to access quick settings. Confirm the Bluetooth icon is active (not greyed out). If Bluetooth was disabled in the settings, turn it back on.
-
Restart the console.
Press and hold the console power button for 5 seconds until it restarts, or unplug the treadmill for 30 seconds. A fresh console start often resolves Bluetooth discovery failures.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I connect my phone's Spotify to a NordicTrack over Bluetooth?
Yes, on models with Bluetooth audio output. Pair your Bluetooth headphones to the console, and music from Spotify or iFIT plays through the headphones. The NordicTrack console itself connects to iFIT — your phone connects to the console only as an audio source on some models.
Does NordicTrack support Bluetooth headphones while using iFIT?
Yes. Bluetooth audio works simultaneously with iFIT workouts on all NordicTrack touchscreen models. Pair headphones to the console before starting a workout for the best experience.
