Screen Won't Turn On
Peloton Exercise Bike / Tread
Severity: CriticalWhat Does This Error Mean?
A Peloton screen that will not turn on may have a power cable issue, a blown fuse, or a dead tablet. Check the power cable connection at the back of the screen and at the wall outlet.
Affected Models
- Peloton Bike
- Peloton Bike+
- Peloton Tread
- Peloton Row
Common Causes
- Power cable disconnected from the back of the screen
- Wall outlet not providing power (tripped breaker)
- Power adapter failed
- Tablet hardware failure
- Power surge damaged electronics
How to Fix It
-
Check the power cable at the back of the screen.
The cable connects at the bottom or back of the screen. Make sure it is firmly plugged in.
-
Check the wall outlet — try a different one.
Plug a phone charger into the same outlet to verify it has power.
-
Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
A frozen tablet may appear completely off. A long press forces a restart.
-
Check the power adapter box.
The adapter is a small box on the power cable. If it is very hot, smells burnt, or has no LED, it may have failed.
