Why does Sony ANC cause a pressure or vacuum feeling in my ears?
This is normal for active noise cancellation — the ANC creates a slight pressure effect. It usually diminishes after a few minutes of wear as your ears adjust.
Sony WH-1000XM5 ANC worked well before but now seems weak — why?
ANC performance can seem to degrade if the ear cushion foam has compressed over time, reducing the seal. Also check that the ANC microphone ports on the outside of the ear cups are not blocked by a cover or case.
