App Pairing Failed
Signia Hearing Aid
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
Signia app pairing failures are usually caused by stale phone Bluetooth state, aids paired to another device, or the aids not being in pairing mode. Forget existing pairings, then power-cycle the aids and re-pair.
Affected Models
- Signia Pure Charge&Go
- Signia Pure
- Signia Styletto
- Signia Insio
- Signia Active
- Signia Silk
Common Causes
- Aids paired to another phone or device
- Phone Bluetooth has stale connection state
- Aids not in pairing mode (need fresh power-cycle)
- Signia app permissions (Bluetooth, Location) denied
- Phone outside the 1-meter pairing range during setup
How to Fix It
-
Power-cycle the aids.
Open both battery doors for 5 seconds (or place rechargeable aids in the charger for 5 seconds), then close/remove. The aids reboot and enter pairing mode for about 3 minutes.
-
Forget existing pairings on the phone.
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and remove any old Signia hearing aid pairings. On iPhone, also check Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices and remove pairings there.
-
Grant Signia app permissions.
Phone Settings > Apps > Signia app > Permissions. Grant Bluetooth and Location. The Signia app needs both to discover and stream to aids.
-
Re-pair through the app.
Open the Signia app and start a fresh pairing. Follow on-screen prompts. The app guides you through pairing both aids — hold your phone within 1 meter.
When to Call a Professional
Your audiologist can pair the aids using Signia's Connexx fitting software during a clinic visit if self-pairing fails repeatedly.
