Frequently Asked Questions
Levoit humidifier leaks only when running — not when off. Why?
Leaks only during operation usually mean water is escaping through the mist outlet or condensation is forming and dripping. Check that the mist nozzle is properly attached and reduce the output level if needed.
New Levoit humidifier leaking on first use — what to do?
Check that any transit or factory protective seal has been removed from the tank valve. Also ensure the tank cap is fully tightened. If leaking continues, the unit is defective — contact Levoit for a replacement.
Small puddle under Levoit humidifier every morning — cause?
An overnight puddle usually means the tank valve seal is worn or the tank is not fully seated. Remove and reseat the tank and check the cap O-ring. Also check the output is not set so high that condensation is forming.
