Frequently Asked Questions

Levoit humidifier hums but no mist — why?

A hum without mist almost always means the transducer disc is heavily calcified and cannot vibrate. Clean the transducer with white vinegar as described above.

Why does Levoit produce less mist in hard water areas?

Hard water deposits calcium on the transducer rapidly. In hard water areas, use distilled or demineralised water in your Levoit humidifier to maintain full mist output and reduce the cleaning frequency.

Levoit humidifier not misting after cleaning — what next?

If mist does not return after vinegar cleaning, the transducer disc may be permanently damaged. Contact Levoit support for a warranty replacement if the unit is under one year old.
