What Does This Error Mean?

If the Pentair EasyTouch is not connecting to the ScreenLogic app or showing offline, first restart the ScreenLogic Interface by cycling its power. Confirm the ScreenLogic Interface is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. A firmware update on the ScreenLogic Interface often resolves connection failures.

How to Fix It

    Locate the small ScreenLogic wireless interface unit connected to the EasyTouch panel. Unplug its power for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Allow 2 minutes for it to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

  2. Confirm the ScreenLogic Interface is connected to Wi-Fi.

    The interface has an LED indicator — a steady green light indicates a Wi-Fi connection. A blinking or red light means it has lost the Wi-Fi connection. Re-enter the Wi-Fi credentials if needed.

  3. Restart your router.

    A router restart may change the IP address of the ScreenLogic Interface. Assign a reserved (static) IP to the Interface in your router settings to prevent this.

  4. Update the ScreenLogic Interface firmware.

    In the ScreenLogic app, go to Settings → System → Update Firmware. Outdated firmware is a common cause of connectivity failures, especially after phone OS updates.

  5. Check the RS-485 data bus wiring inside the EasyTouch panel.

    The RS-485 bus connects EasyTouch to the pump, heater, and other devices. Turn off power to the panel and inspect wire connections at the RS-485 terminal block for loose or corroded connections.
