Not Charging Device
Anker Power Bank
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
If your Anker power bank is not charging a connected device, the cable may be bad, the power bank may be dead, or the device requires more power than the port provides. Try a different cable and make sure the power bank itself has charge.
Affected Models
- Anker PowerCore 10000
- Anker PowerCore 20000
- Anker PowerCore III
- Anker 737 (PowerCore 24K)
- Most Anker power banks
Common Causes
- Power bank battery is empty — needs recharging
- USB cable is charge-only or damaged
- Wrong port used — some ports are input only
- Device requires more power than the port provides
- Power bank in low-current mode (for earbuds/watches) when phone needs full power
How to Fix It
-
Check the power bank's battery level.
Press the button to see the LED indicators. If no LEDs light up, the power bank is dead — recharge it.
-
Try a different USB cable.
Some cables are charge-only (no data). Others degrade over time. Use the cable that came with the power bank.
-
Make sure you are using an output port, not the input port.
Input ports are for charging the power bank itself. Output ports (usually labelled OUT or with a phone icon) charge your devices.
-
Disable low-current/trickle charge mode.
Some Anker models have a low-current mode for small devices. Double-press the button to toggle back to normal mode.
