AC Output Not Working

EcoFlow Portable Power Station

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

EcoFlow AC output not working means the AC inverter is switched off — either manually or by ECO mode standby. Press the AC output button on the unit to enable it. The AC LED must be on before appliances will receive power.

Affected Models

  • EcoFlow DELTA
  • EcoFlow DELTA 2
  • EcoFlow DELTA Pro
  • EcoFlow DELTA Max
  • EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro
  • EcoFlow RIVER Pro

Common Causes

  • AC output not enabled — requires pressing the AC button before any outlet is live
  • ECO mode shut off AC output because connected load was below 5W for 4 hours
  • Overload protection tripped — previous overload locked the inverter off
  • Unit battery too low — some models disable AC output below 10% charge
  • Outlet GFCI tripped on the connected appliance side

How to Fix It

  1. Press the AC button on the EcoFlow.

The AC outlets are not live until you press the AC output button. Look for the button labeled 'AC' on the front panel. The AC indicator light must be on (not just the main power light).

  2. Disable ECO mode in the app.

ECO mode automatically turns off AC output when connected devices draw very little power for a set period. Open the EcoFlow app, navigate to Settings for your unit, and turn off ECO mode for continuous AC availability.

  3. Check if an overload recently occurred.

If an overload tripped the inverter, power off the EcoFlow completely, disconnect all devices, and power back on. Then press the AC button and reconnect appliances one by one.

  4. Check the battery level.

Some EcoFlow models will not enable AC output below a minimum charge level to protect the battery. If battery is below 10%, charge the unit for 30 minutes before testing AC output again.

  5. Test with a simple lamp.

Plug a simple table lamp into the outlet to confirm whether the outlet is live. If the lamp works, the outlet is fine and the issue is with the original appliance. If the lamp does not work, the inverter or outlet may need service.

When to Call a Professional

If the AC output button shows as enabled but outlets deliver no power and no overload is shown, the inverter module may have failed. Contact EcoFlow support.
