What Does This Error Mean?

EcoFlow battery percentage jumping around or showing 0% is a BMS (Battery Management System) calibration issue — the BMS has lost track of actual battery capacity. Fully discharge the unit, then fully recharge it in one continuous session to recalibrate.

Common Causes

BMS calibration drift after repeated partial charges without full cycle
Unit stored for months — battery self-discharged and BMS lost reference point
Firmware bug in the battery estimation algorithm
Actual battery capacity loss due to aging — BMS showing higher % than real capacity
Battery cells unbalanced — BMS averaging across unequal cells

How to Fix It

Fully discharge the EcoFlow.

Connect a load (lamps, a TV, or fans) and run the unit until it automatically shuts down from empty battery. Do not interrupt the discharge — let it reach 0% and turn off by itself.
Immediately connect the AC charger.

Connect the EcoFlow AC brick charger right after the unit shuts down. Do not leave it discharged for more than a few hours — deep discharge below the BMS minimum can cause additional issues.
Charge fully in one continuous session.

Allow the unit to charge from 0% to 100% without interruption. Do not unplug midway. When the display shows 100% and the charge LED turns green, the BMS recalibration cycle is complete.
Update firmware via the EcoFlow app.

Open the EcoFlow app, tap your device, and check for firmware updates. EcoFlow has released firmware fixes for inaccurate battery readings on several models. Install any available update after the recalibration cycle.

If the battery percentage reads 100% but the unit shuts down after a few minutes of use, the battery may have significant capacity loss. Contact EcoFlow support for a battery health assessment.
