AC Output Not Working
Jackery Portable Power Station
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
Jackery AC outlets are switched off by default — you must press the AC output button on the unit before any outlet delivers power. Press the button labeled 'AC' and wait 2 seconds for the inverter to initialize.
Affected Models
- Jackery Explorer 300
- Jackery Explorer 500
- Jackery Explorer 1000
- Jackery Explorer 1000 Pro
- Jackery Explorer 1500
- Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro
Common Causes
- AC output not activated — Jackery requires manual press of AC button each session
- ECO mode shut off AC output after extended low-load period
- Overload protection tripped — previous overload latched the inverter off
- Battery too low — unit disables AC below a minimum charge level
- Inverter fault — rare hardware failure causing no AC output
How to Fix It
-
Press the AC output button.
Locate the button labeled 'AC' or with a power outlet icon on the Jackery control panel. Press it once — it should illuminate. Wait about 2 seconds for the inverter to spin up before plugging in an appliance.
-
Check for a recent overload.
If you previously connected an appliance that drew too much power, the overload protection may have tripped the inverter. Power off the Jackery completely, disconnect all appliances, power on again, and press the AC button.
-
Confirm battery level is above minimum.
Jackery units will not enable AC output if the battery is critically low (below ~5–10%). Check the display for battery percentage. If the battery is very low, charge for at least 30 minutes before testing AC output.
-
Test with a simple lamp.
Plug a basic table lamp or phone charger into the AC outlet to verify the outlet is live. A simple resistive load confirms the inverter is running. If the lamp works, the outlet is fine and the issue is with the original appliance.
-
Disable ECO mode.
In ECO standby, the Jackery cuts AC output after detecting very low consumption for several hours. On newer models with the Jackery app, open the app and turn off ECO mode to keep AC always available.
When to Call a Professional
If the AC button is lit and the unit shows no overload, but outlets still deliver no power, the inverter module may have failed. Contact Jackery support.
