USB Not Working

Jackery Portable Power Station

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

Jackery USB ports are switched off by default when the unit powers on. Press the USB output button on the unit — it must be lit before any USB port will charge a device.

Affected Models

  • Jackery Explorer 300
  • Jackery Explorer 500
  • Jackery Explorer 1000
  • Jackery Explorer 1500
  • Jackery Explorer 2000 Pro
  • All Jackery Explorer models

Common Causes

  • USB output not activated — requires pressing the USB button before ports are live
  • ECO mode triggered — unit shuts off USB output automatically after 4–12 hours of very low draw
  • USB-C port PD handshake incompatibility with connected device
  • Cable or connector fault — cable not delivering current despite appearing connected
  • Port damaged by static discharge or liquid ingress

How to Fix It

  1. Press the USB output button on the Jackery.

Look for the button with a USB icon on the control panel. Press it once — the USB indicator LED should light up. Jackery requires you to manually activate USB output each time the unit is powered on.

  2. Check if ECO mode is active.

Jackery's ECO mode shuts off outputs automatically when draw is below a threshold for several hours. If the USB LED is off, press the USB button again to re-enable output. For continuous power, disable ECO mode in the Jackery app (Explorer 2000 Pro and newer).

  3. Try a different cable.

USB cables fail more often than ports. Test the port with a cable you know works on another charger. If the second cable works, replace your original cable.

  4. Test a different device.

Some devices have non-standard charging requirements. Try charging a phone or other common device on the same port. If the second device charges, the port is fine — check the original device's charging requirements.

  5. Restart the Jackery.

Power off the unit completely using the power button. Wait 10 seconds and power back on. Press the USB button to re-enable USB output and test again.

When to Call a Professional

If a USB port is enabled but delivers no power with a confirmed-good cable and device, the port may be physically damaged. Contact Jackery support for warranty service.
