AC Outlet Not Working
Various Portable Power Station
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
If the AC outlets on your portable power station are not providing power, the AC inverter may not be turned on. Most power stations require you to press the AC button to enable the outlets.
Affected Models
- Jackery Explorer
- EcoFlow Delta/River
- Bluetti
- Anker Solix
- Goal Zero Yeti
Common Causes
- AC inverter not turned on (button not pressed)
- Battery too low for AC output
- Overload protection tripped — device draws too much power
- AC outlet GFCI tripped (on models with GFCI protection)
- Inverter fault
How to Fix It
-
Press the AC button to enable AC output.
AC outlets are OFF by default to save battery. Press the AC power button — a light should indicate AC is active.
-
Check the battery level.
Some stations disable AC output below 5-10% battery. Charge the station and try again.
-
Check for overload — reduce the connected load.
If you plugged in a device that exceeds the rated wattage, protection trips. Disconnect the device, reset, and use a lower-power device.
-
Reset the GFCI if your model has one.
Some power stations have GFCI-protected outlets (with a small reset button on the outlet). Press the Reset button.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does AC drain the battery faster than USB?
The AC inverter converts DC battery power to 120V AC. This conversion wastes 10-15% of the energy as heat. USB outputs DC directly — more efficient.
Should I leave AC on all the time?
No. The inverter draws a small amount of power even with nothing plugged in (idle drain). Turn AC off when not in use.
