Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Karcher suck in detergent on low pressure but not high pressure?
This is by design. Karcher's venturi injector only works at low pressure (when fitted with the low-pressure nozzle). High pressure nozzles bypass the injector. Always switch to the low-pressure nozzle for foam or detergent application.
Can I use washing-up liquid in a Karcher pressure washer?
Karcher does not recommend using household washing-up liquid as it creates excessive foam, which can cavitate the pump. Use Karcher-specific or pressure washer-compatible detergents.
How do I flush detergent out of my Karcher after use?
After applying detergent, switch to the high-pressure nozzle and run the machine with clean water for 2–3 minutes. This flushes residual detergent from the pump and hose.
