Not Charging
Dreame Robot Vacuum
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
Dirty charging contacts are the top cause of Dreame robot vacuums not charging. Clean the metal pins on the dock and the underside of the robot with a dry cloth, then re-dock firmly until the charging indicator activates.
Affected Models
- Dreame L10 Pro
- Dreame L20 Ultra
- Dreame X30
- Dreame D10 Plus
- Dreame Bot Z10 Pro
Common Causes
- Dirty or oxidised charging contacts on dock or robot
- Dock not receiving power
- Robot slipping off the dock due to smooth flooring
- Battery at end of life — typically 2–4 years
- Firmware fault
How to Fix It
-
Clean the charging contacts.
Unplug the dock and wipe its charging pins with a clean, dry cloth. Clean the matching contacts on the bottom of the Dreame robot. This step alone fixes the majority of Dreame charging issues.
-
Confirm the dock has power.
Plug the dock back in and check for a power indicator light. Try a different outlet if there is no sign of power. Check the dock cable for visible damage near the plug end.
-
Stabilise the dock.
On smooth flooring, the dock can slide away from the robot as it approaches. Place a small non-slip mat under the dock to keep it in position.
-
Re-seat the robot and observe.
Set the robot squarely onto the dock and press it forward gently until the charging indicator light appears. Wait 10 minutes and check that the indicator is still on — a brief flash followed by nothing indicates a contact problem.
-
Check for battery failure.
If the robot never shows a charge increase after several hours, or the runtime is significantly shorter than when new, the battery may need replacement. Contact Dreame support or a local service centre.
