Not Connecting to WiFi

Dreame Robot Vacuum

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

Dreame robots connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi only — not 5 GHz. Switch your phone to the 2.4 GHz band, open the Dreamehome app, and follow the pairing steps. Reset the robot if pairing still fails.

Affected Models

  • Dreame L10 Pro
  • Dreame L20 Ultra
  • Dreame X30
  • Dreame D10 Plus
  • Dreame Bot Z10 Pro

Common Causes

  • Router broadcasting 5 GHz only during setup
  • Wrong WiFi password entered
  • Robot too far from router during pairing
  • Dreamehome app out of date
  • Robot needs reset to clear stale pairing

How to Fix It

  1. Switch your phone to the 2.4 GHz network.

Dreame robots do not support 5 GHz WiFi. Go to your phone's WiFi settings and connect to the 2.4 GHz band — often labelled with '2.4G' or without a '5G' suffix. Keep the phone on this network throughout setup.

  2. Open Dreamehome and add a device.

Update the Dreamehome app to the latest version before starting. Tap the plus icon, select your robot model, and follow the on-screen prompts.

  3. Put the robot in pairing mode.

Press and hold the robot's power button for 5 seconds until it announces pairing mode or the indicator flashes rapidly.

  4. Enter your WiFi password.

Type your 2.4 GHz network password carefully — it is case-sensitive. Wait up to 60 seconds for the Dreamehome app to confirm the connection.

  5. Reset and retry if pairing fails.

Press and hold the reset button (usually a small hole on the underside) for 5 seconds to clear the previous pairing attempt. Repeat the setup from step 1.
