Not Charging

Ecovacs Robot Vacuum

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

Dirty charging pins on the dock or the Deebot are the most common cause of charging failure. Unplug the dock, clean both sets of metal contacts with a dry cloth, plug back in, and re-seat the Deebot until the charging indicator activates.

Affected Models

  • Deebot X2
  • Deebot T20
  • Deebot N10
  • Deebot X1
  • Deebot OZMO Series
  • Deebot 600 Series
  • Deebot 900 Series

Common Causes

  • Dirty or oxidised charging contacts on dock or robot
  • Dock not receiving power
  • Robot not seated correctly on the dock
  • Battery at end of life
  • Firmware fault preventing charge detection

How to Fix It

  1. Clean the charging contacts.

Unplug the charging dock and wipe its metal charging pins with a clean, dry cloth. Clean the matching contacts on the underside of the Deebot. Contact corrosion is the leading cause of Deebot charging failures.

  2. Verify the dock has power.

Plug the dock back in and confirm its LED or indicator is on. Try a different power outlet if there is no sign of power. Check the power cable for damage at the connector end.

  3. Re-seat the Deebot on the dock.

Place the Deebot squarely on the dock and push it gently forward until it beeps or the charging light activates. If the robot is sitting at an angle, the contacts will not align and charging will not start.

  4. Perform a soft reset.

Hold the power button for 10 seconds to reset the Deebot. Place it back on the dock and observe whether charging begins.

  5. Test the battery.

If the Deebot charges briefly then drops to zero, or takes far longer than 4–5 hours to charge, the battery may have failed. Contact Ecovacs support for a replacement battery or device.
