Not Connecting to WiFi

Ecovacs Robot Vacuum

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

All Deebot models connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi only — not 5 GHz. Switch your phone to the 2.4 GHz network before pairing, open the ECOVACS Home app, and follow the setup steps. If pairing fails, reset the robot and try again.

Affected Models

  • Deebot X2
  • Deebot T20
  • Deebot N10
  • Deebot X1
  • Deebot OZMO Series

Common Causes

  • Phone or router on 5 GHz only during setup
  • Incorrect WiFi password entered
  • Robot too far from router during pairing
  • ECOVACS Home app out of date
  • Robot needs reset to clear a stale pairing attempt

How to Fix It

  1. Connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz band.

Deebot robots do not support 5 GHz WiFi. In your phone's WiFi settings, select your router's 2.4 GHz network — often labelled with '2.4G' or no suffix. Stay on this network throughout the entire setup process.

  2. Update the ECOVACS Home app.

An outdated app can cause pairing failures. Update the app via the App Store or Google Play before starting setup.

  3. Add the device in ECOVACS Home.

Open the ECOVACS Home app and tap the plus icon to add a new robot. Select your Deebot model from the list and follow the on-screen prompts.

  4. Put the Deebot in pairing mode.

Hold the power button for 3 seconds until the robot announces it is ready to connect or the WiFi indicator blinks rapidly. If the robot has a reset button, press it briefly to clear any previous pairing.

  5. Enter WiFi credentials and complete setup.

Enter your 2.4 GHz WiFi password carefully — passwords are case-sensitive. Wait up to 60 seconds for the app to confirm the connection. If it times out, move the robot closer to the router and retry.
