Ring Alarm tamper alert means the cover of a sensor, keypad, or base station has been opened or the device has been removed from its mounting. Resecure the device cover and the tamper alert will clear automatically in the Ring app.

Inspect the keypad for any gaps between the front panel and the wall mount. Press firmly around all edges to reseat the cover. If the keypad has been removed from the wall, remount it fully.

Yes. If the alarm system is armed and a tamper alert occurs, it can trigger the Ring Alarm siren and send an alert to the Ring monitoring centre (if subscribed). Tamper alerts are treated as potential security events.
