No Audio
Reolink Security Camera
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
Reolink audio is disabled by default in the app — you must enable it manually. In the Reolink app, open the live view, tap the speaker or microphone icon to unmute, and confirm audio recording is enabled in Settings.
Affected Models
- Reolink E1 Pro
- Reolink RLC-810A
- Reolink Argus 3 Pro
- Reolink Duo 3 PoE
- Reolink TrackMix
Common Causes
- Audio playback muted in the live view screen
- Audio recording disabled in camera settings
- Phone speaker or volume muted during live view
- Model does not have a built-in microphone
- Microphone hardware fault
How to Fix It
-
Unmute audio in the live view.
Open the camera in the Reolink app and look for a speaker or audio icon on the live view screen. Tap it to enable audio — many users overlook this as it defaults to muted.
-
Enable audio recording in settings.
Go to Device Settings > Video > Audio and confirm audio recording is set to On. Recording audio and hearing audio in live view are separate settings — both need to be enabled.
-
Check your phone volume.
During live view, the audio plays through the phone speaker. Make sure your phone's media volume is turned up and the phone is not in silent mode.
-
Confirm the model has a microphone.
Not all Reolink cameras have a built-in microphone. Check the product specifications on the Reolink website for your exact model to confirm microphone support.
-
Test with a different device.
Install the Reolink app on a second phone or tablet and play the live view. If audio works on the second device, the problem is with the first phone's audio settings or app permissions. If no audio on either device, the camera microphone may have failed.
