Doorbell Offline

Eufy Smart Doorbell

Severity:

What Does This Error Mean?

A Eufy doorbell offline is usually caused by a WiFi dropout, a dead battery, or the HomeBase losing its connection. Restart your router, check the battery level in the eufy Security app, and restart the HomeBase.

Affected Models

  • Eufy Video Doorbell 2K
  • Eufy Video Doorbell E340
  • Eufy Video Doorbell S330
  • Eufy Video Doorbell Wired
  • Eufy Video Doorbell Dual

Common Causes

  • WiFi router restarted — doorbell or HomeBase lost connection
  • Battery critically low on battery-powered models
  • HomeBase offline — battery doorbells communicate via HomeBase
  • Doorbell out of range of router or HomeBase
  • eufy Security app needs updating

How to Fix It

  1. Restart your router.

Unplug the router for 30 seconds and plug it back in. Wait 2 minutes for the network to stabilise. Most Eufy offline issues after a power cut are resolved by this step alone.

  2. Restart the HomeBase.

If your Eufy doorbell uses a HomeBase, unplug it from power for 15 seconds and reconnect. Wait 60 seconds for the HomeBase to come fully back online before checking the app.

  3. Check the battery level.

Open the eufy Security app, tap the doorbell, and check the battery percentage. Battery-powered Eufy doorbells go offline when the battery drops below a critical threshold. Charge the battery and wait 5 minutes for the doorbell to reconnect.

  4. Check WiFi signal strength.

In the eufy Security app, go to Device Settings and look for signal strength or RSSI. If the signal is weak, move the HomeBase or router closer to the doorbell. For direct WiFi doorbells, add a WiFi extender near the front door.

  5. Re-add the doorbell if still offline.

If the doorbell remains offline after all the above steps, remove it from the app and re-add it. Hold the reset button on the doorbell for 10 seconds, then follow the in-app setup process.
