Galaxy Ring not being recognized is almost always a Bluetooth discovery issue. Removing the ring from the charging case triggers its Bluetooth broadcast, making it discoverable by Galaxy Wearable within seconds.

How to Fix It

Remove the ring from the charging case — the ring broadcasts Bluetooth only when outside the case.
Unlike some wearables, the Galaxy Ring does not broadcast Bluetooth while inside its charging case. Remove it and keep it within 30 cm of your phone.

Open Galaxy Wearable and look for the ring under 'Connected Devices'.
If the ring was previously paired and is in range, Galaxy Wearable should reconnect automatically within 30 seconds of the ring leaving the case.

Toggle Bluetooth off and back on on your Samsung phone.
A Bluetooth toggle resets the discovery cache and allows Galaxy Wearable to detect the ring afresh.

Restart the phone and open Galaxy Wearable immediately after rebooting.
Phone restarts clear all Bluetooth service states. Open Galaxy Wearable as soon as the phone finishes restarting to catch the ring's initial broadcast.
