Movement Score Wrong

Ultrahuman Smart Ring

Severity: Minor

What Does This Error Mean?

Ultrahuman Movement Score relies on the ring being worn during the day and synced regularly. If it seems wrong, log activities manually in the app and check that the ring was worn and synced after your workout.

Affected Models

  • Ultrahuman Ring Air
  • Ultrahuman Ring Air Raw
  • Ultrahuman Ring Air Aster

Common Causes

  • Activity not synced yet after workout
  • Workout was stationary (weights, cycling) and not auto-detected
  • Ring was not worn during activity
  • Movement goals are set incorrectly in the app profile
  • Insufficient historical data for personalized scoring

How to Fix It

  1. Open the Ultrahuman app and sync immediately after your workout.

Movement data stored in the ring transfers during sync. Without syncing after exercise, the Movement Score will not reflect your recent activity.

  2. Log activities manually for gym sessions or stationary workouts: tap the plus (+) button in the app.

Weight training, yoga, and cycling involve minimal hand movement. The ring cannot reliably auto-detect these. Logging manually ensures they count toward your Movement Score.

  3. Wear the ring on your index finger during exercise.

The index finger gives the best motion detection. Other fingers reduce the accelerometer sensitivity and may cause exercise to be missed or undercounted.

  4. Check and set your activity goals in the Ultrahuman app under Profile > Goals.

If your movement goals are set too high or too low, your Movement Score will reflect that mismatch. Adjust goals to match your realistic daily activity level.

When to Call a Professional

Movement Score issues do not require professional service. If movement tracking is needed for a rehabilitation program, consult your physiotherapist about validated tracking devices.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Ultrahuman Ring Air Movement Score measure?

The Movement Score reflects how much physical activity you got during the day, weighted by intensity and duration. It accounts for steps, active minutes, and heart rate elevation during exercise. A score above 80 generally indicates a very active day.

Does Ultrahuman Ring Air count steps automatically?

Yes — step counting runs continuously in the background and does not need to be started manually. However, like all ring-form sensors, step counts may be slightly lower than wrist-worn devices because finger movement is subtler than wrist movement during walking.
