Not Charging
Ultrahuman Smart Ring
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
Ultrahuman Ring Air not charging is almost always caused by the ring not sitting flat in the charging cradle, dirty charging contacts, or a faulty USB cable. Clean the contacts, reseat the ring carefully, and try a different cable.
Affected Models
- Ultrahuman Ring Air
- Ultrahuman Ring Air Raw
- Ultrahuman Ring Air Aster
Common Causes
- Ring not seated correctly in the charging cradle
- Charging contacts on the ring or cradle are dirty
- USB cable is damaged or underpowered
- USB adapter is not providing enough current
- Ring battery is completely depleted and needs 15–30 minutes to respond
How to Fix It
-
Remove the ring from the cradle and reseat it flat, ensuring the inner surface faces down into the cradle.
The Ultrahuman Ring Air uses a magnetic charging cradle. The ring should sit flush in the cradle with the charging pads aligned. If it sits at an angle, it will not charge.
-
Clean the ring's inner charging contacts with a dry cotton swab.
Sweat, skin oils, and lotion coat the charging contacts over time. Even a thin film can disrupt the electrical connection. Clean both the ring contacts and the cradle pins gently.
-
Try a different USB-C cable and a different USB wall adapter (5V/1A or higher).
Ultrahuman Ring Air uses USB-C charging. Low-quality or damaged cables are a very frequent cause of charging failure. Try a cable you know works with another device.
-
Leave the ring in the cradle for at least 30 minutes before checking again.
A completely drained ring sometimes takes 15–30 minutes before showing any charging activity. Place it in the cradle, connect to power, and leave it alone for half an hour.
-
Check the Ultrahuman app for a charging indicator — the ring icon should show a battery symbol when charging.
The app is the most reliable way to confirm charging is happening. Open it with the ring in the cradle and look for a charging animation.
When to Call a Professional
