Not Syncing
Ultrahuman Smart Ring
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
Ultrahuman Ring Air syncing issues are almost always caused by Bluetooth being off, the app running in a restricted background state, or the ring needing to reconnect. Turn on Bluetooth, open the app, and pull down to manually sync.
Affected Models
- Ultrahuman Ring Air
- Ultrahuman Ring Air Raw
- Ultrahuman Ring Air Aster
Common Causes
- Bluetooth is disabled on the phone
- Ultrahuman app is restricted by battery optimization settings
- Ring is out of Bluetooth range for an extended time
- App needs to be updated
- Ring firmware needs an update
How to Fix It
-
Open the Ultrahuman app and pull down on the Home screen to trigger a manual sync.
Keep the ring within 30 cm of your phone while syncing. Manual sync usually takes 30–60 seconds and retrieves all stored ring data.
-
Ensure Bluetooth is turned on — check your phone's quick settings.
Ultrahuman Ring Air communicates entirely via Bluetooth. Without it, no sync can happen.
-
Turn off battery optimization for the Ultrahuman app.
On Android: Settings > Battery > App Optimization > Ultrahuman > Don't Optimize. On iPhone: Settings > Ultrahuman > Background App Refresh > On. This allows the app to sync in the background.
-
Force-close and reopen the Ultrahuman app.
A stuck app session can block syncing. Close it completely and reopen to trigger a fresh connection and sync attempt.
-
Restart your phone.
A phone restart clears any Bluetooth service crashes or blocked processes and usually resolves persistent sync failures.
When to Call a Professional
If syncing fails consistently for more than 3 days after all troubleshooting, contact Ultrahuman Support via the app (Profile > Help) or at ultrahuman.com/support.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often does Ultrahuman Ring Air sync automatically?
Ultrahuman Ring Air syncs automatically whenever it is in Bluetooth range of your phone. Sleep data is synced in the morning when you open the app. Daytime activity syncs periodically throughout the day.
Will I lose data if syncing is delayed?
No — the ring stores several days of data in its internal memory. As long as you sync within 3–5 days, no data is lost. All missing days will upload at once when syncing is restored.
