Bluetooth Not Working
Hisense Smart TV
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
Hisense TV Bluetooth issues almost always come down to a pairing problem — the device was not in pairing mode when the TV searched, or an old entry needs clearing. Forget the device in VIDAA Bluetooth settings, put the headphones or speaker back into pairing mode, and search again. This fixes most connection failures in under a minute.
Affected Models
- Hisense U8K
- Hisense U7K
- Hisense U6K
- Hisense A6K
- Hisense R6 Series
Common Causes
- The headphones or speaker were not in active pairing mode when the TV searched
- A stale pairing entry on the TV is preventing a fresh connection
- The Bluetooth device is out of range or has a low battery
- A firmware update reset Bluetooth settings or broke compatibility with a previously paired device
- The TV is attempting to connect to a previously paired device first
How to Fix It
-
On the Hisense TV, go to Settings → Remotes & Accessories (or Settings → Network → Bluetooth on older VIDAA versions). Find the device and select Forget or Remove.
Clearing the old pairing entry forces the TV to treat the device as brand new on the next connection attempt.
-
Put the Bluetooth device into active pairing mode — this usually means holding the power or Bluetooth button until the LED flashes rapidly.
Simply having Bluetooth on the headphones is not enough — the device must be in discoverable pairing mode.
-
On the TV, select Add New Device or search for devices. Select your device from the list within 30 seconds.
Stay within 3 metres of the TV during pairing for best results.
-
If audio lags behind the picture, find the A/V Sync or Bluetooth Audio Delay setting: Settings → Sound → Advanced Settings → A/V Sync.
Bluetooth audio has inherent latency of 100 to 300 ms. The A/V Sync setting delays the video to match.
-
Power cycle both the TV and the Bluetooth device if pairing still fails.
Restarting both devices clears any corrupted Bluetooth state from memory.
When to Call a Professional
Bluetooth issues on Hisense TVs are always software or pairing related — no hardware service is needed. If Bluetooth works for some devices but not others, the issue is the specific device's Bluetooth version or codec compatibility.
Frequently Asked Questions
Hisense TV pairs with headphones but no audio comes through — why?
The TV may still be sending audio to the internal speakers. After pairing, go to Settings → Sound → Audio Output and select your Bluetooth device. Some Hisense models require a manual audio output switch after pairing.
Does Hisense VIDAA TV support aptX or LDAC Bluetooth audio?
Most Hisense TVs support SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. Higher-end ULED models (U8K series) may support aptX. LDAC support is limited to certain flagship models — check your specific model's spec sheet.
My Hisense remote pairs via Bluetooth — is that different from audio Bluetooth?
Yes — the remote uses a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) channel separate from the audio Bluetooth connection. The remote working over Bluetooth does not confirm that the TV's audio Bluetooth is functioning. They are independent subsystems.
