What Does This Error Mean?

Spotify lyrics aren't available for every song or every region. The lyrics feature also requires you to be logged in. Updating the app and checking your settings usually fixes it.

How to Fix It

Check if the song has lyrics available.

Not every song on Spotify has lyrics. Try a popular song from a major artist to test.
Update Spotify to the latest version.

Open your app store (App Store, Google Play, or Microsoft Store) and update Spotify.
Log out of Spotify and log back in.

Go to Settings > Log Out. Then sign back in with your username and password.
Enable lyrics in the Now Playing screen.

While a song is playing, tap the microphone icon or lyrics button at the bottom of the screen.
Reinstall the Spotify app.

Uninstall Spotify, restart your device, then download and install Spotify fresh from the app store.
