Not Heating
Cosori Air Fryer
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
If your Cosori air fryer is not heating, check that the basket is fully inserted — most Cosori models will not heat if the basket is missing or not clicked in. Also confirm the unit is in an active cooking mode. A faulty heating element requires warranty service.
Affected Models
- Cosori Pro II 5.8 Qt
- Cosori Pro Gen 2 5 Qt
- Cosori Dual Blaze
- Cosori Lite 4 Qt
- All Cosori air fryer models
Common Causes
- Basket not fully inserted, disabling the heating element
- Preheat mode cancelled too early
- Heating element failed
- Thermal cutoff tripped from overheating
- Control board fault
How to Fix It
-
Push the basket in firmly until it clicks.
All Cosori air fryers have a safety interlock — the heating element will not activate if the basket is not fully inserted. Push firmly until you feel and hear the basket click into place.
-
Confirm the cooking mode is active and not paused.
After pressing Start, the display shows a countdown and the temperature. If the timer is running but the temperature is not rising after 3 minutes, the element may not be activating.
-
Unplug for 60 seconds and plug back in.
A thermal cutoff from overheating will prevent heating until the unit cools. Unplug, wait 60 seconds, and test again with a fresh cook cycle.
-
Run the air fryer empty and listen for fan noise.
If you hear the fan but feel no heat from the top vent after 2 minutes, the heating element is not working. If there is no fan noise either, check for an E1 or E2 error code on the display.
-
Contact Cosori support if the element does not heat.
A failed heating element is covered under the Cosori warranty. Do not operate the unit without heat — food will be undercooked and the unit is malfunctioning.
When to Call a Professional
If the fan runs but the unit produces no heat with the basket correctly seated, the heating element has likely failed. Contact Cosori support for warranty replacement.
