Error E1
Cosori Air Fryer
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
Cosori E1 means the air fryer's temperature sensor is not reading correctly. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool completely, and plug it back in. If E1 returns on every use, the temperature sensor needs replacement — do not continue to cook as the unit cannot regulate temperature safely.
Affected Models
- Cosori Pro II 5.8 Qt
- Cosori Pro Gen 2 5 Qt
- Cosori Dual Blaze
- Cosori Smart WiFi Air Fryer
- Most Cosori air fryer models
Common Causes
- Temperature sensor failed or burned out
- Sensor connector loose inside the unit
- Food debris on the sensor probe
- Unit overheated beyond safe operating range
- Firmware bug triggering false E1 on some models
How to Fix It
-
Unplug the air fryer and let it cool for 30 minutes.
An E1 from overheating clears once the sensor cools. Do not try to restart it while it is still hot.
-
Remove the basket and inspect the inside of the cooking chamber.
Check for food debris or grease splatter near the heating element area. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Ensure the unit is fully dry before plugging back in.
-
Plug the unit back in and test with a short cook cycle.
Set to 180°C for 5 minutes with nothing in the basket. If E1 does not return, the overheating was a one-time event.
-
Update the firmware via the VeSync app if applicable.
For Wi-Fi connected Cosori models, open the VeSync app, select the air fryer, and check for firmware updates. Some firmware versions had E1 false-trigger bugs fixed in updates.
-
Contact Cosori support if E1 returns consistently.
Cosori offers a 1–2 year warranty on most models. If E1 appears on every use, the sensor needs replacement. Contact Cosori support — do not attempt to open the unit yourself.
When to Call a Professional
E1 means the air fryer cannot monitor cooking temperature safely. Do not continue cooking with E1 displayed. If it persists after cooling and a reset, contact Cosori support for a replacement.
