When filter life reaches zero, replace the filter and then reset the count: open the MyDyson app, go to your machine, tap Filter life, and select Reset filter life. Order the correct replacement filter for your specific Dyson model. Filter types vary between models and are not interchangeable — check your model number on the machine base.
Dyson sells HEPA+Carbon combination filters for most current models. Third-party Dyson-compatible filters are available but Dyson recommends genuine filters to maintain performance certification.

Power off the machine and unplug it. Remove the filter by twisting the base of the machine (on tower purifiers) or by opening the filter access panel. Insert the new filter and reassemble.
Remove all packaging from the new filter before installing. The new filter has a protective seal — ensure it is removed or the air will not pass through.

Reset the filter life counter. In the MyDyson app: go to your machine > Filter life > Reset filter life. On older models without the app, hold the standby button on the remote for 6 seconds.
