E1
Tami4 Water Dispenser
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
Error E1 on a Tami4 water dispenser means the unit is not detecting water coming in from the mains supply. The inlet is blocked, the water was shut off, or the inlet valve has failed.
Affected Models
- Tami4 Edge
- Tami4 Neo
- Tami4 Pro
- Tami4 Classic
Common Causes
- Mains water supply turned off or too low pressure
- Kinked or pinched inlet water hose behind the unit
- Blocked inlet filter/strainer on the water connection
- Faulty solenoid inlet valve inside the unit
How to Fix It
-
Check the water supply tap
Locate the water connection behind the Tami4 unit. Ensure the valve or tap is fully open. It may have been accidentally turned off.
-
Check mains water pressure
Open another tap in the same area. If water pressure is low or there is no water elsewhere, the problem is with the building's supply — not the Tami4.
-
Inspect the inlet hose
Pull the unit slightly forward and check the flexible hose at the back. Make sure it is not kinked, bent sharply, or pinched behind the unit or wall.
-
Clean the inlet filter
Where the hose connects to the Tami4, there is a small mesh filter/strainer. Carefully unscrew the connection, remove the filter, rinse it under the tap to clear any sediment, and reconnect.
-
Restart the unit
After checking all of the above, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to restart. If E1 clears, normal operation has resumed.
When to Call a Professional
Only if checking the water supply and hose does not resolve the error.
Tami4 Error E1 — No Water Detected
E1 means your Tami4 dispenser is not detecting any water entering the unit from the mains connection. Before calling a technician, always check the physical water supply — this is the cause in the majority of E1 cases.
Quick Checklist
- Is the inlet valve behind the unit open?
- Is there water pressure at nearby taps?
- Is the inlet hose kinked?
- Has the inlet filter been cleaned recently?
If all of those check out and E1 persists after a restart, the internal solenoid valve that controls water intake may have failed. This requires a service call.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did E1 appear suddenly when it was working fine before?
The most common sudden cause is someone accidentally nudging the inlet tap closed, or a building water shut-off for maintenance. Check the supply first — it is almost always the simplest explanation.
Can I use the Tami4 while E1 is showing?
No — the unit will not dispense water when E1 is active because it has detected no incoming water. Resolve the supply issue first.
