How to Fix It

Remove the water collection bucket from the front of the unit

Pull the bucket straight out from the front panel. Handle it carefully — it may be heavy if completely full. Carry it to a sink or drain without spilling.
Empty the bucket completely and rinse it out

Pour all the water out and rinse the bucket with clean water. This is a good opportunity to clean the bucket to prevent mould or mildew growth — wipe the inside with a diluted bleach solution (1 tablespoon of bleach per litre of water) every few weeks.
Reinsert the bucket firmly until it seats fully

Slide the bucket back into its compartment all the way until it is fully seated. If the bucket is not fully inserted, the float switch may remain in the triggered position and the dehumidifier will not restart. Push firmly until you feel resistance from the back.
Restart the unit — it should resume automatically
