Samsung Dishwasher 5E Error — Drainage Fix

What Does This Error Mean?

Error 5E means the dishwasher water is not draining. Start by cleaning the filter and checking the drain hose and sink connection for blockages.

Remove the bottom rack. Lift out the filter (turn anti-clockwise and pull up). Rinse under warm running water, scrubbing with a brush to remove grease and food particles.
Check the drain hose at the rear of the machine. Ensure it is not kinked, looped too low, or blocked where it connects to the sink waste pipe.
Pour a jug of hot water down the sink drain to clear any partial blockage in the waste pipe that may be causing backflow into the machine.
