Multipoint Bluetooth Issue

Jabra Headphones

Severity: Minor

What Does This Error Mean?

Jabra Elite supports multipoint — pairing to two devices simultaneously (laptop + phone, etc.).
If switching between them fails or only one connects, the multipoint feature may be disabled in Sound+ app, or one device's pairing got corrupted.
Open Jabra Sound+, enable multipoint, and re-pair to both devices.
Some older Jabra models don't support multipoint — check spec sheet.

Affected Models

  • Jabra Elite 75t
  • Jabra Elite 85t
  • Jabra Elite 7 Pro
  • Jabra Elite 8 Active
  • Jabra Elite 10

Common Causes

  • Multipoint feature disabled in Sound+ app
  • Pairing record corrupt on one of the devices
  • Older Jabra model without multipoint support (Elite 65t etc.)
  • iOS or Windows holding stale pairing
  • Both devices trying to claim audio simultaneously
  • Firmware bug fixed in recent updates

How to Fix It

  1. Open Jabra Sound+.

    Connect earbuds via Bluetooth.
    Sound+ app auto-detects.
Headset → Connect Two Devices Simultaneously.
    Toggle ON if it's off.

  2. Forget on both devices.

Bluetooth settings on each device → find Jabra → Forget/Unpair.
Do this on phone AND laptop AND any other paired device.
    Clean slate before re-pairing.

  3. Re-pair first device.

With earbuds in case, hold case button or buds together for 10 seconds to enter pairing mode.
Pair to first device (e.g., phone) via Bluetooth menu.
    Confirm audio plays.

  4. Re-pair second device.

From earbuds: enter pairing mode again.
From second device's Bluetooth menu, select Jabra.
Some Jabra models require holding both buds' buttons simultaneously to enter dual-pairing mode.
Sound+ app prompts walk through this.

  5. Test switching.

    Play music on device 1.
On device 2, start a video call or play media.
Earbuds should switch to device 2 within 1-2 seconds.
If not, multipoint isn't working — try firmware update.

  6. Update firmware.

    Sound+ app → Update Firmware.
    Apply pending updates.
Multipoint stability has improved across firmware versions.
    Restart app after update.
