NoPr
Instant Pot Pressure Cooker
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
NoPr means the Instant Pot could not build pressure within the expected time. This is almost always caused by the steam valve being left on Venting instead of Sealing, a damaged or misseated sealing ring, too little liquid in the pot, or the pot being overfilled beyond the max line.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long should it take for the Instant Pot to reach pressure?
It typically takes 10–15 minutes to reach pressure, depending on the amount and temperature of the food inside. Cold ingredients, large volumes, and dense foods take longer. If more than 30 minutes pass without pressurising, NoPr will display.
My sealing ring looks fine but NoPr still appears — what else could it be?
Check that the inner pot is fully seated inside the base unit. A slightly tilted inner pot can prevent the lid from sealing evenly. Also confirm the steam valve cap is installed correctly and not cracked.
