Frequently Asked Questions
BenQ projector powers on and immediately shuts off — lamp fault?
Yes. If the projector starts up but shuts down within a few seconds with the LAMP indicator lit, the lamp has failed and cannot sustain an arc. Replace the lamp.
BenQ projector lamp error with only 500 hours of use — is that normal?
No. A lamp failure at 500 hours is premature. Check that the projector is not being switched off without a proper cool-down cycle, which can shorten lamp life significantly.
Does BenQ have a lamp warranty?
BenQ projectors come with a warranty that may include lamp coverage for a limited period. Check the documentation included with your projector or contact BenQ support for current warranty terms.
