Error 005
Ecovacs Robot Vacuum
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
Deebot Error 005 means the robot is stuck and cannot navigate free. Pick it up, clear any obstacle around where it was stuck, and place it on open floor. Press Clean to resume — it will re-orient and continue.
Affected Models
- Deebot X2
- Deebot T20
- Deebot N10
- Deebot X1
- Deebot OZMO Series
- Deebot 900 Series
Common Causes
- Robot trapped under low furniture
- Wheels tangled in a loose cable or rug fringe
- Robot wedged in a narrow gap between furniture legs
- Wheels obstructed by a large piece of debris
How to Fix It
-
Pick up and reposition the robot.
Lift the Deebot out of the stuck position and place it on a clear, open section of floor away from the obstruction.
-
Check the wheels.
Inspect both wheels for hair, cable, or debris wrapped around the axles. Press each wheel down — it should compress and spring back freely. A stuck wheel will not rotate and will cause Error 005 repeatedly.
-
Remove the obstruction.
Clear any loose cables, rug fringe, or small objects from the area where the robot got stuck. Lift low furniture slightly or block access to gaps the robot tries but cannot clear.
-
Press Clean to resume.
After repositioning, press the Clean button. The robot will re-orient using its sensors and continue the cleaning run from its current position.
-
Set no-go zones for recurring trouble spots.
In the ECOVACS Home app, draw a virtual wall or no-go zone around any area that repeatedly causes Error 005. This prevents the robot from entering the problem area in future runs.
