Not Charging
eufy Robot Vacuum
Severity: ModerateWhat Does This Error Mean?
A eufy robot vacuum that does not charge on its dock usually has dirty charging contacts — the small metal strips on the robot's base and the dock's charging pins. Wiping both sets of contacts clean with a dry cloth is the fix for most charging failures. If the contacts are clean but charging still fails, the battery may need replacing.
Affected Models
- eufy RoboVac 11S
- eufy RoboVac 15C
- eufy RoboVac G30
- eufy RoboVac X8 series
- Most eufy RoboVac models
Common Causes
- Dust and debris coating the metal charging contacts on the robot or dock
- Dock not receiving power — cable loose or power strip switched off
- Robot not aligning correctly with the dock contacts
- Battery at end of life — typically after 2-3 years of daily use
- Charging dock placed on a surface that causes the robot to approach at the wrong angle
How to Fix It
-
Locate the charging contacts on the robot — two small shiny metal strips on the underside near the front. Wipe them with a dry cloth or a dry cotton swab.
Dust builds up on these contacts over time and creates enough resistance to prevent charging. Do not use water or cleaning sprays on the contacts.
-
Wipe the two charging pins on the dock with a dry cloth. Also check that the dock's power cable is firmly connected at both ends.
The dock LED light should be on when plugged in. If the dock has no LED, check the power outlet is working — try plugging the dock directly into a wall socket rather than a power strip.
-
Place the dock against a flat wall with nothing blocking it. Lift the robot and manually place it on the dock to check if it charges.
If the robot charges when placed manually but not when it docks automatically, the robot is approaching the dock at a bad angle. Ensure the dock is on a flat, hard floor with at least 0.5 metres of clear space on each side.
-
If the robot charges briefly then stops, or the battery drains very quickly, the battery may have reached the end of its life and needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a eufy robot vacuum battery last on a full charge?
Most eufy RoboVac models run for 90-100 minutes on a full charge. Battery life decreases over time — after 2-3 years of daily use, run time may drop to 50-60 minutes, which is the normal sign of an ageing battery.
Can I leave the eufy robot vacuum on the dock all the time?
Yes — eufy robots are designed to stay on the dock when not in use. The dock stops charging when the battery is full to prevent overcharging.
