Error 2

eufy Robot Vacuum

Severity: Minor

What Does This Error Mean?

Error 2 on a eufy robot vacuum means a brush is jammed and the robot has stopped to prevent motor damage. The most common cause is hair or string wrapped tightly around the main brush roll or side brushes. Turning the robot over and clearing the brushes with the included cleaning tool fixes it in a few minutes.

Affected Models

  • eufy RoboVac 11S
  • eufy RoboVac 15C
  • eufy RoboVac G30
  • eufy RoboVac X8 series
  • Most eufy RoboVac models

Common Causes

  • Long hair or pet fur wrapped tightly around the main brush roll
  • String, thread, or carpet fibres tangled in the side brushes
  • Debris jammed in the brush cover preventing the brushes from spinning
  • A large object picked up by the robot blocking the brush chamber

How to Fix It

  1. Turn the robot over and locate the main brush roll — it is the large rotating brush in the centre of the underside. Unclip the brush cover by pressing the tabs on each side.

The brush cover clicks in and out without tools on most eufy models. If it is tight, check the user manual for your specific model.

  2. Remove the brush roll and use the included cleaning tool (the small blade attached to the cleaning brush) to cut through hair wrapped around the brush.

Hair wraps very tightly around brush rolls over time. Do not pull hard with your fingers — cutting the hair first makes removal easy without damaging the brush.

  3. Check the two side brushes (the small spinning brushes at the front corners). Remove any string or hair wound around the base of each side brush.

Side brushes can be pulled straight off their mounting post for cleaning. They click back on with a firm push.

  4. Reinstall the brush roll and cover, then place the robot on a clear floor and press Clean to restart.

After clearing Error 2, the robot performs a brief self-check before resuming. If Error 2 reappears immediately, there may still be debris in the brush chamber.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I clean the eufy robot vacuum brushes?

eufy recommends cleaning the main brush roll every 2 weeks and the side brushes once a week in homes with pets or long hair. In low-shedding homes, monthly cleaning is usually sufficient.

What happens if I ignore Error 2 and keep trying to run the robot?

The robot will not run while Error 2 is active — it stops to protect the motor from overheating. Clearing the brush blockage is required before the robot will clean again.
