E2
Tineco Vacuum Cleaner
Severity:What Does This Error Mean?
E2 on a Tineco means the dirty water tank is full or has not been reinstalled properly. Remove the dirty water tank, empty and rinse it, and click it firmly back into place to clear E2.
Affected Models
- Tineco FLOOR ONE S5
- Tineco FLOOR ONE S7
- Tineco FLOOR ONE S7 Pro
- Tineco PURE ONE S11
- Tineco PURE ONE S15
Common Causes
- Dirty water tank reached capacity during use
- Tank not fully clicked into position after the last empty
- Float sensor stuck due to soap or foam residue
- Tank cracked or leaking causing a false full reading
How to Fix It
-
Stop the machine and remove the dirty water tank.
On FLOOR ONE models the dirty water tank is typically at the rear or side. Lift it straight out.
-
Empty and rinse thoroughly.
Pour out all dirty water and rinse with clean water. Soap residue and foam can stick the float sensor in the raised (full) position — rinse the inside of the tank several times.
-
Inspect the float sensor.
Look inside the tank for the small float — a plastic disc or ball that rises with water level. Gently move it up and down with your finger to ensure it is not stuck.
-
Reinstall firmly.
Press the clean tank back in until it clicks securely. A loose tank consistently triggers E2.
Frequently Asked Questions
How full does the Tineco dirty water tank get before E2 appears?
E2 appears when the tank is at or near maximum capacity. On FLOOR ONE models the dirty tank holds approximately 0.6–0.8 litres — empty it after every cleaning session to avoid mid-clean interruptions.
Tineco E2 appears with an empty tank — what is wrong?
A stuck float sensor is the most likely cause. Rinse the tank thoroughly and manually free the float. If E2 persists with a clean, empty, properly seated tank, the float sensor or its connector may be faulty.
