E10

Electrolux Washing Machine

Severity: Critical

What Does This Error Mean?

Electrolux washer E10 error means the machine cannot fill with enough water in the allowed time. Check that the water tap is fully open, the inlet hose has no kinks, and the mesh filter on the inlet valve is clean.

Affected Models

  • Electrolux Front Load Washer
  • Electrolux Top Load Washer
  • Electrolux EWF Series Washer
  • Electrolux PerfectCare Washer
  • Electrolux UltimateCare Washer

Common Causes

  • Water tap not fully open or turned off
  • Kinked or crushed inlet hose at the back of the machine
  • Blocked mesh filter on the water inlet connection
  • Low household water pressure
  • Faulty water inlet valve solenoid not opening

How to Fix It

  1. Check the water tap.

Locate the cold water tap behind the machine and turn it fully counter-clockwise to open it completely. A tap left only partially open is a very common cause of E10.

  2. Inspect the inlet hose for kinks.

Pull the machine away from the wall and inspect the inlet hose. Straighten any bends or kinks. Also confirm the hose has not been crushed against the wall.

  3. Clean the inlet mesh filter.

Turn off the water tap. Unscrew the inlet hose from the back of the machine. Remove the small mesh filter from inside the inlet port with pliers. Rinse under running water and refit.

  4. Check household water pressure.

Electrolux washers require a minimum water pressure of 0.5 bar. If other taps in the house have weak flow, the household pressure may be insufficient — contact your water supplier.

When to Call a Professional

If the tap is open, the hose is straight, and the inlet filter is clean but E10 persists, the water inlet valve solenoid has failed and needs replacement.
